Ace Herbal and Nutritional Medicine Clinic

Ace Herbal and Nutritional Medicine Clinic

A natural way to combat the physical and mental stresses of everyday life.

The clinic places Ace Complementary Health centre in a unique position to provide you with a bespoke treatment regime that will help you combat the stresses and strains of modern life in a gentle and natural way.

It makes natural sense…

...since it is one of the oldest forms of medicine used by man and is a natural way to fortify the body against the everyday onslaught of bacteria and other pathogens that are thrown our way. Our body’s defences are only as strong as a the building blocks we use to maintain them and given the pollution, stress, drug resistance and side effects that challenge our bodies every day, Herbal and Nutritional Medicine is a gentle and natural way to meet these challenges.

Bespoke treatment to suit the individual.

Medical herbalists are taught the same diagnostic skills as orthodox doctors but they are also trained to take an overall view of the constitution of the patient and to try to identify the root cause of the patient’s symptoms. This enables the treatment plan to be uniquely tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of the individual.

Also available:

  • Homocysteine testing: this measures a naturally occurring amino acid. High lelves are positively associated with an increased risk of heart disease, thrombosis or stroke.
  • Food intolerance testing: Though not life threatening, food intolerance can cause unpleasant symptoms. These may be delayed for hours or even days and thus it is often hard to identify the problem foods. The symptoms can include migraines, IBS, depression, insomnia to name but a few. We use Food Detective to identify the problem foods. It is a test that identifies antibodies that the body produces to 59 foods common eaten.
  • Cardiocheck: Measure the elasticity of the main arteries – a key factor in the development of cardiovascular disease. The test also aids in measuring the effectiveness of lifestyle and dietary changes along with medical interventions.
