
Ace Osteopaths Complementary Health Centre, formerly The Ace of Spades Osteopathic Surgery, was established in 2001 by Kathy and Oliver O'Callaghan-Brown, both of whom are Registered Osteopaths. Over that period of time it has expanded and now the following practitioners also work on the premises:
Kathy O'Callaghan-Brown, Registered Osteopath
Kathy specialises in the treatment of children and new mothers. She is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine (http://www.roysocmed.ac.uk) and is an assessor of osteopathy college courses with The QAA (http://www.qaa.ac.uk).
Oliver O'Callaghan-Brown, Registered Osteopath
Oliver has particular interest in exercise physiology, sports injuries and also the use of acupuncture/dry needling to treat pain. He is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine, a Member of The British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine (http://www.basem.co.uk), and is an associate member of The College of Chiropractors.
Sophie Capito, Sports Therapist and Sports Massage Therapist
Sophie qualified from The Raworth Centre with an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Sports Therapy and is a member of Society of Sports Therapists (website: www.society-of-sports-therapists.org). Working with rugby and hockey players and their associated injuries. She currently works for Surrey RFU and Old Paulines RFC. She has taught Sports Therapy Students and currently teaches deep massage techniques.
Carlie-Ann Offer, Rehabilitation, Sports Massage, Stone Therapy and Pregnancy Massage
Carlie-Ann graduated as a Sports Therapist from the Raworth Centre in 1995 and is a member of The Sports Massage Association . She also gained a gym instructor qualification from the YMCA. She worked for 4 years at Medifit in London providing rehabilitation therapy as well as hydrotherapy. She is now also working part-time as a lecturer's assistant at St Mary's College http://www.smuc.ac.uk, teaching massage therapy. Her focus now is working on core stability, postural correction and massage.
Stuart McLean, Medical Herbalist and Nutritionist (MSc)
It takes 4 years of degree study, covering both the theory and practice of medicine to become a Medical Herbalist. Stuart is a member of both the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy. These represent well recognised governing bodies who strive to maintain high standards in both education and ongoing training for their members. All members of these organisations are obliged to adhere to a strict professional code of ethics. Stuart is also qualified in massage therapy and has now completed his MSc in Nutrition with a research project into Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Mark Payne, Registered Osteopath and Reflexologist
As well as being a Registered Osteopath, Mark also qualified as a Personal Fitness Trainer in 1999 and as a Reflexologist in 2001.With the option to use either Osteopathy or Reflexology, it has made it possible to address a wider range of conditions and provide a more complete approach to improve health and well being.
Elad Yeshuah, Registered Osteopath, Physical trainer and Krav Maga Instructor
Elad Yeshuah is a 33yr old fully qualified & registered Osteopath and Naturopath (M.Ost & ND). As part of his training, he has completed cranial sacral course which is most suitable & effective treatment for babies and pregnant patients or those who seek an alternative approach to structural osteopathy (manipulation/mobilisation).
Prior to his medical life, he was trained as a personal fitness and Krav Maga (www.krav-maga-uk.com/) instructor (self defence-close combat contact, developed by the Israeli army forces). Qualified at the Israeli army academy (Wingate institute). He has more than 10 yrs experience of teaching & working in the security industry, serving the IDF and the Israeli police Special Forces. He speaks 3 languages English French & Hebrew.
